Jacquelynne Powell is an experienced nutrition education professional currently serving as Senior Program Coordinator at the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan since July 2022, where responsibilities include overseeing youth nutrition education programming in Wayne County. Previously, Jacquelynne worked at Michigan State University Extension for nearly nine years, initially as a Program Associate and later as a Community Nutrition Instructor, organizing and delivering nutrition and physical activity education programs. Early career experience included customer service and food preparation roles at Central Michigan University. Jacquelynne holds a Master of Science in Community Health from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Food Service Administration from Central Michigan University.

Since 1955, the NKF of Michigan, Inc. (NKFM) has led the fight against life-threatening chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and kidney disease. We have enhanced the lives of many Michigan residents through our prevention programs and patient services. Our efforts have also changed legislation, ensured quality care for patients and advanced medical knowledge. We have informed the public about kidney and urological diseases and increased awareness of the critical need for organ and tissue donations. The mission of the NKFM is prevent kidney disease and improve the quality of life for those living with it.
