Tene Dismuke

Enhance Fitness Instructor at National Kidney Foundation of Michigan

Tene Dismuke is an experienced movement coach and fitness instructor with a diverse background in dance and physical fitness. Currently serving as a Movement Coach at the Motown Museum since July 2018, Tene teaches dance and stage presence to campers and collaborates on original musical pieces. As a Group Fitness Instructor at the YMCA of Metro Detroit since April 2016, and an Enhance Fitness Instructor for both the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan and the Detroit Area of Aging Association since October 2014, Tene promotes health and wellness across various age groups. Tene also founded House of Bastet LLC in September 2005. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications with a Dance Cognate from Michigan State University and a Summer Intensive program at The Ailey School.

Since 1955, the NKF of Michigan, Inc. (NKFM) has led the fight against life-threatening chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and kidney disease. We have enhanced the lives of many Michigan residents through our prevention programs and patient services. Our efforts have also changed legislation, ensured quality care for patients and advanced medical knowledge. We have informed the public about kidney and urological diseases and increased awareness of the critical need for organ and tissue donations. The mission of the NKFM is prevent kidney disease and improve the quality of life for those living with it.
