Noam Nisan

Board Member And Chair Of The Digital Strategy Committee at National Library of Israel

Noam Nisan is a Professor of Computer Science at Hebrew University, holding a tenured position since 1997. In addition to academic roles, Noam Nisan serves as Dean of the School of Computer Science and Engineering at StarkWare and a Principal Researcher focusing on blockchains, incentives in decentralization, and fee design. Noam Nisan has also been a Board Member and Chair of the Digital Strategy Committee for the National Library of Israel. Previous experience includes serving as a Principal Researcher at Microsoft, where the focus was on auction design and cloud computing, and as a Senior Research Scientist at Google, concentrating on ad auctions and ad markets. Noam Nisan founded SeeRun and held the position of CTO from 1998 to 2002. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
