Colin Baird

Colin Baird has a diverse work experience in the non-profit sector. Colin started their career at Blesma, The Limbless Veterans in 2014, where they served as the Trusts Programme Manager, successfully increasing trusts income during their tenure. In 2017, they joined Ellis Design Studio as the Company Director. Later that year, they also joined the National Literacy Trust, where they held two roles. As the Head of Trust and Statutory Fundraising, they played a key role in significantly increasing the organization's income. Currently, Colin is the Strategic Partnerships Lead at the National Literacy Trust, leading on funding partnerships and working towards transforming school libraries and training teachers.

Colin Baird attended Renfrew High School from 1987 to 1992, where they studied various subjects including Art, English, and History. In 1994, they earned a National Vocational Qualification in Playwork: Level 2 from the YMCA. From 1996 to 1999, Colin pursued a Higher National Diploma in Performing Arts in the Community at Coatbridge College. Most recently, they obtained a Charity and Social Enterprise Management CertHE from Anglia Ruskin University, completing this program in 2021.
