Dr Jill Zhe Liu

Dr. Jill Zhe Liu currently serves as the Sustainability Lead and Composites Engineer at the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland since November 2019. Previously, Dr. Liu was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Zinc from June 2024 to November 2024 and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Nottingham from June 2013 to October 2019, focusing on carbon fibre composites recycling and reuse. Additionally, Dr. Liu supported module conveners as a Postgraduate Demonstrator in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Nottingham. Dr. Liu holds a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering and Design, a Master's Degree in Materials Engineering, and a BEng in Chemical Engineering, all obtained from the University of Nottingham between 2008 and 2017.
