John Reilly is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in research and development, renewable energy, and instrumentation. Currently serving as a Research and Development Engineer at the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland since January 2020, John leads technical initiatives in Industry 4.0 capabilities. Previously, John was a Renewable Energy Consultant at Wood, focusing on data recording systems for wind farms across several European countries. John's experience also includes working as an Electrical & Software Engineer at Amethyst Research Limited, where electronic designs for infrared detectors were developed, and an Instrument Engineer at Wood Group, where project management and engineering documentation were key responsibilities. Early in the career, John served as a Sales/Stockroom Assistant at Next Group PLC. John holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
