Katie Sweeney is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the mining sector. Since May 1995, Katie has held various leadership roles at the National Mining Association, currently serving as Senior Vice President & General Counsel. Prior to this, Katie worked as an Environmental Attorney at the American Mining Congress from May 1990 to May 1995 and began a career in land law as a Land Law Examiner for the Bureau of Land Management from May 1989 to May 1990. Katie holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from the George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School and is an alumna of William & Mary.
