Caitlin Sugrue Walter has a diverse work experience. Caitlin started their career as a Research Analyst at Bay Area Economics in 2008 and worked there until 2011. In 2011, Caitlin joined the National Multifamily Housing Council, where they held various positions including Senior Research Analyst, Assistant Director of Research, Director of Research, and Senior Director of Research. In July 2017, they became the Vice President of the organization. Additionally, Caitlin served as an Instructor at Virginia Tech from 2015 to 2016.
Caitlin Sugrue Walter holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Planning, Governance, and Globalization, which they earned from Virginia Tech between 2014 and 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree with a focus on Community and Economic Development from Virginia Tech, spanning from 2009 to 2011. Caitlin Sugrue Walter's undergraduate education was pursued at Rutgers University, where they obtained a B.A/B.S. in Planning and Public Policy, Criminal Justice, graduating in 2008.
