Juanita Kelly-Mundine

First Nations Collections & Repatriation Coordinator at National Museum Of Australia

Juanita Kelly-Mundine is an experienced professional in the fields of cultural materials conservation, Indigenous art, and cultural heritage. Currently serving on the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Space Reference Group for ACT Government since June 2024, Juanita also holds the position of First Nations Collections & Repatriation Coordinator at the National Museum of Australia. As a guest lecturer at the University of Melbourne, Juanita imparts knowledge in the Master of Cultural Materials Conservation course. Previous roles include mentoring for the Indigenous Arts Leadership Program at the National Gallery of Australia, working as a conservator at Art Gallery NSW, and volunteering at the Chau Chak Wing Museum. Juanita has contributed to Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property consultation at Terri Janke and Company and authored the First Nations Cultural Heritage Conservation Guide for the National Association for the Visual Arts. Educational qualifications include a Master of Cultural Materials Conservation and a Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from prominent universities.
