Andrew Horan

Andrew Horan is an experienced professional in environmental management and international affairs, currently serving as the International Affairs Project Manager at NOAA's National Weather Service since November 2022, overseeing a multi-million dollar portfolio focused on enhancing global hydro-meteorological data and early warning services. Prior to this role, Andrew worked at the US Environmental Protection Agency as an International Environmental Program Specialist, leading initiatives to combat plastic pollution and facilitate climate adaptation through collaboration with multiple governmental agencies. Andrew's background includes significant fieldwork as a Coastal Resource Management Extension Worker with the Peace Corps and research positions at the University of Florida and the U.S. Geological Survey, where Andrew developed ecological assessments and mapping strategies for coastal ecosystems. Andrew holds a Master of Science degree in Geography from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from Georgia Institute of Technology.
