Heather McCullough

Heather McCullough is an experienced Data and Information Scientist at NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information, where responsibilities include leading coastal monitoring data curation, providing GIS services, and serving as a UI/UX consultant. Additional roles at NOAA include serving as Acting Deputy Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence, where strategic and tactical support was provided for budget development and coordination with training teams. Prior experiences encompass a variety of roles in data management and public services across NOAA and academic institutions, including overseeing the Public Services Division at the U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA and serving as a Reference Librarian at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Heather McCullough holds a Master's degree in Library & Information Studies and a Master's degree in Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of North Carolina Asheville.
