Space Weather (sw) Mission Operations Manager (mom) at NOAA

Jason Long, PMP®, CDBA®, AHPP® is an experienced professional in space weather operations and engineering. Currently serving as the Space Weather Mission Operations Manager at NOAA since October 2024, Jason oversees various space weather projects, including operational, pre-launch, and requirements development phases. Prior to NOAA, Jason held multiple roles at ASRC Federal from 2008 to 2024, leading the mission operations for the Space Weather Follow On satellite and managing the Deep Space Climate Observatory mission. Jason's career also includes work as a Granular Dynamics Research Assistant at NASA, where contributions earned recognition and publication, as well as earlier roles in tutoring, research, and data entry. Jason holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from UC San Diego and a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Applied Mathematics from Montclair State University.
