John Moore III

John Moore III serves as an Advisor to NOAA’s Deputy Undersecretary for Operations, providing policy support for national and international oceanic and atmospheric services since November 2022. Previously, John worked as a Public Affairs Specialist and Emergency Response Meteorologist at the National Weather Service from September 2016 to November 2022, delivering Impact-Based Decision Support Services and ensuring agency readiness. Prior experience includes roles as a General Forecaster, Meteorologist Intern, and Student Researcher at various NOAA and educational institutions, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Jackson State University, earned in 2013.
