Kaitlen Lang

Kaitlen Lang currently serves as a Special Assistant in NOAA Fisheries' Office of Protected Resources, focusing on policy and congressional engagement by preparing briefing materials and assisting with congressional hearings. Previously, Kaitlen held the position of Special Assistant & Senior Analyst at Ocean Associates, Inc., providing staffing support and documentation management for NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service. Kaitlen's earlier experience includes serving as a John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellow at NOAA, where responsibilities involved stakeholder engagement for the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Ecology from The University of Toledo and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Natural Resources from Central Michigan University. Kaitlen has also worked as a Fisheries Technician in various organizations, contributing to the management of aquatic invasive species and marine biodiversity.
