Maoyi Huang is an experienced program manager and earth scientist currently serving as the Earth Prediction Innovation Center Program Manager at NOAA, a position held since August 2021. Prior to this role, Maoyi Huang was a Program Manager at the Office of Science and Technology Integration, NOAA-NWS, where responsibilities included leading the COASTAL Act program. Previous experience includes a tenure as an Earth Scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory from January 2010 to February 2020 and serving as a Research Assistant Professor at the University at Buffalo. Earlier academic pursuits included a postdoctoral research associate position at the Carnegie Institution for Science. Maoyi Huang holds a PhD and MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, alongside an MS in Meteorology from Peking University and a BS in Geography from Sun Yat-sen University.
