Martin Yapur is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of atmospheric science and remote sensing. Currently serving as Division Director at the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) since August 2003, Martin Yapur leads initiatives focused on satellite architecture planning and systems engineering, supporting strategic observing system investment planning. Previously, as Deputy Director of the Interagency Council for Advancing Meteorological Services, Martin Yapur coordinated policy implementation across federal agencies. Additionally, Martin Yapur contributed as a Co-Chair of the CEOS Working Group on Information Systems and Services, collaborating with NASA on the CEOS WGISS Integrated Catalog project to enhance access to satellite data. Martin Yapur holds an M.S. in Atmospheric Science from the City College of New York and a B.S. in Biology from Universidad Mayor de San Andrés.
