Nina Mauney is an experienced environmental scientist currently working with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) since September 2023. As a graduate student at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories since August 2020, Nina focuses on marine science and is a NOAA Center for Coastal and Marine Ecosystems Fellow. Nina serves as a GIS Certificate Teaching Assistant at the University of Richmond, responsible for instructing coursework in GIS fundamentals and overseeing research projects. Previous roles include Geographic Information Systems Specialist at Timmons Group, and multiple positions at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service focusing on leatherback sea turtle research. Nina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia.
