Claire Evans is a highly experienced Principal Research Scientist at the National Oceanography Centre since July 2013, following a successful tenure as a Research Scientist at NIOZ Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research from December 2006 to December 2012, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Plymouth Marine Laboratory from September 2004 to December 2006. Claire holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbial Biogeochemistry from the University of East Anglia, earned between September 2000 and September 2004, and a Master's degree in Applied Marine Science from the University of Plymouth, completed from September 1999 to September 2000.
