Mike Shaw

Mike Shaw is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in outdoor education and photography. As the Founder and Freelance Photographer of Badlands_Photography since February 2016, Mike manages various aspects of the business, including photography, editing, and sales, while showcasing work on Instagram. With a tenure as an Instructor at NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute since November 2006, Mike teaches wilderness first aid certification courses across the country. Additionally, Mike has served as Experiential Education Faculty at Albuquerque Academy since August 2003, leading diverse outdoor adventure trips and instructing classes in outdoor leadership and skills. Previous experience includes teaching climbing and medical skills at the Khumbu Climbing Center in early 2012 and serving as a Field Instructor with NOLS from 1997 to 2011, leading backcountry expeditions and skills courses. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Education from Northland College, earned in 1996.
