Abid Wasim

Abid Wasim is a seasoned professional in the powder coating industry, currently serving as the Group Product Manager for National Paints Factories Co. LTD., where responsibilities include global management of technical and commercial business advancements in powder coatings since July 2016. Previously, Abid held the role of Group Technical Manager, overseeing six global production sites and spearheading initiatives such as new manufacturing unit setups, capacity upgrades, and the introduction of innovative technologies. Abid also has extensive consultancy experience as the Technical Director at Genesis Powder Consultants since April 2012 and has previously worked as a Technical Director at Platinum Phase Sdn Bhd and Sakcoat Powder Coating. Earlier in the career, Abid gained valuable experience as a Technical Manager at Al-Qahtani Pipe Coating Industries, Oxyplast Powder Coating, and as a Lab Incharge at Jotun Powder Coating. Education includes a Master's degree in Chemistry from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
