Erin Cagney

Archaeologist at National Park Service

Erin Cagney is an experienced archaeologist with a robust background in historic preservation and cultural resource management. Currently employed at New South Associates, Inc. since March 2022, Erin previously held positions at WSP USA and the Veterans Curation Program, emphasizing expertise in archaeological fieldwork, laboratory management, and compliance with preservation laws. Additionally, experience includes internships with the DC Office of Planning, field archaeology projects with Louis Berger and Wetland Studies and Solutions, and artifact processing at American University's Department of Anthropology. Erin holds a Master of Arts in Public Anthropology from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology Honors from the University of Tennessee, focusing on post-conflict cultural revival in northern Uganda.
