Dan Gerlach

Dan Gerlach is an experienced epidemiologist currently working at the Minnesota Department of Health since August 2018, focusing on foodborne illness and COVID-19 response. Dan has a strong background in actuarial analysis, having held positions at UnitedHealth Group, Anthem, and LTCG, where responsibilities included analyzing financial impacts of Medicaid rate changes and assisting with rate increase filings. Dan co-founded Gerlach Stiltwalkers, performing at local events from 1999 to 2017. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
