Frank Lands has a diverse and extensive work experience history. Frank started their career as a Military Police Officer in the US Army in 1991 and served until 1998. In 2000, they began working as a Department of the Army Civilian, where they stayed until 2008.

From 2009 to 2012, Frank served in various roles in the US Army, including as a Special Assistant in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army. Frank also took on the responsibility of a Resource Manager, Manpower, Contracting, and Finance during this time.
