Garrett Kost

Garrett Kost is a Park Ranger at the National Park Service, specializing in interpretation at Manassas National Battlefield Park since January 2022, where responsibilities include managing digital content and coordinating Living History programming. Previous roles include Park Guide positions at Ford’s Theatre and National Mall & Memorial Parks, providing historical interpretations and visitor orientation. Seasonal experience as a Park Ranger involved delivering interpretive programs at the National Mall. Additional expertise includes serving as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the Civil War Institute, leading tours at Number 9 Coal Mine and Museum, and creating social media content for Gettysburg College's Civil War Era Studies Department. Garrett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Gettysburg College and has engaged in leadership training through the US Army's Officer Candidate program.
