Tim Garvin

Tim Garvin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in nonprofit leadership and volunteer service. Currently serving as the President and CEO of the United Way of Central Massachusetts since March 2006, Tim has also been a dedicated volunteer with the National Peace Corps Association and the American Diabetes Association, where notable contributions include co-chairing the Advocacy Committee in Massachusetts and participating in advocacy events since 2009. Previous roles encompass Vice President and Executive Director at the YMCA of Greater Boston, as well as board member and treasurer positions with the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network. Tim’s educational background includes a BA in History from Clark University, and experience studying Arab Society and Middle Eastern politics at The American University in Cairo. Tim's volunteer commitment to youth development dates back to service in the Peace Corps in the early 1990s.
