Maame Aba N. Woode is currently a Legal Officer at the National Petroleum Authority since March 2023. Prior to this role, Maame Aba served as an Associate Lawyer and Pupil at Appiade Chambers from October 2018 to February 2023. Between September 2015 and August 2016, Maame Aba worked as Personnel at the Legal Aid Commission in Ghana. Earlier experiences include a Legal Intern position at Anaglate and Associates in June to August 2014 and a Paralegal role at the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative during the same summer months. Maame Aba holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from KNUST and graduated from St Louis Senior High School with a West African Secondary School Certificate (W.A.S.S.C).

The Objects & Functions of the NPA are: To monitor and regulate petroleum prices in accordance with the prescribed pricing formula, grant licenses to service providers and marketing companies, protect Consumers interests and maintain the highest standards of petroleum products offered to them.
