Athar Ali

Athar Ali is an experienced professional currently serving as the Technology Commercialisation Lead at the National Physical Laboratory since March 2024. In addition, Athar is the Product Officer for Thermology Health, the first spinout from NPL, focusing on AI applications for thermal cameras in healthcare, and a Co-founder of the Healthcare Ventures Accelerator at Brunel University London. Athar also holds advisory roles at Health Tech Services Group Limited and Ox3DBio, an Oxford spinout led by Professor Hagan Bayley. As the Chief Executive Officer of Unbounded Future, Athar works with various clients, including academic institutions and health technology startups. Previous experience includes serving as an Angel Investor at Jiva.ai and as Product Leader at Current Health, where devices and solutions for chronic disease management were developed. Athar's educational background includes an MBA from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Purdue University.
