David Gorman is a Senior Scientist at the National Physical Laboratory since July 2019, having previously served as a Higher Research Scientist at the same institution from January 2014 to September 2016. Prior experience includes a role as a Post Doctoral Research Associate at The University of Manchester from March 2017 to August 2019 and as a Research Engineer at Loughborough University from September 2009 to January 2014. Expertise lies in materials characterization, particularly as a Focus Ion Beam and Scanning Electron Microscope Specialist, with additional skills in project management and apprentice supervision. David Gorman holds an EngD in Sustainable Power Generation and Carbon Mitigation from both Loughborough University and the University of Nottingham, and an MPhys in Physics with Technological Physics from The University of Manchester.
