Penny Holt

Penny Holt is NPL’s Chief Financial Officer.

Penny joined NPL in September 2018 as CFO and has subsequently led a review of the company’s business model, enhancing NPL’s financial position and securing its long-term financial sustainability. In addition to leading the Finance, Procurement and Legal teams within the company, Penny has also recently taken over as Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) for NPL’s current wide-ranging enterprise resource planning (ERP) programme, which is due to be implemented in 2023.

Penny sits on the board of Celsius Health Limited (a subsidiary of NPL), is a member of the Met Office Audit and Risk Committee and is part of the AIRTO Financial Directors and Secretaries’ Group.

Penny brings a passion for mentoring and developing people across the business as well as a focus on operational efficiencies. Penny started her career with PwC before joining publishers Thomson Directories Limited in 1999. Here she led their corporate development and mergers and acquisitions activities and was appointed CFO in 2006. In 2011, Penny joined technology start-up Authoritas to help grow the business internationally, both organically and through acquisition.

Penny received her Bachelors and Honours Degrees in Accounting Science from the University of South Africa, before going on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1994.
