Charlie Torgerson has an extensive work experience in the culinary industry. Charlie started their career as the Owner/Operator of Charlie T's Smokehouse from 1990 to 1995. Charlie then joined Famous Dave's in 1996 and held the role of Sr. Director of Culinary/Executive Chef until 2016. In 2016, Charlie started their own business, Charlie T's Foods & Consulting, where they served as the Executive Chef-Owner-Consultant. Charlie also operated Charlie T’s Smokehouse BBQ Trailer as a Pitmaster starting from 2020. Most recently, Charlie joined the National Pork Board in 2022 as the Channel Marketing Development Manager.
Charlie Torgerson attended The Culinary Institute of America from 1984 to 1985, where they pursued an Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) degree in Culinary.
