Heather Fowler

Director, Producer And Public Health at National Pork Board

Heather Fowler is an accomplished professional in public health and animal health, currently serving as the Director of Producer and Public Health at the National Pork Board since August 2017. Prior to this role, Heather held the position of Associate Director of Animal Health at the Center for One Health Research from September 2013 to July 2017 and completed a Ph.D. in Environmental and Occupational Hygiene at the University of Washington during the same period. Heather's earlier experiences include serving as an AVMA Future Leader and Community Development Vice President for the Saint Paul Jaycees, as well as working as a CDC/CSTE Applied Epidemiology Fellow with the Minnesota Department of Health. Heather holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Public Health from Yale School of Public Health and a Veterinary Medical Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania, augmented by a Bachelor's degree in Animal BioScience from Pennsylvania State University.
