Ron Prestage

President at National Pork Producers Council

Ron Prestage has held various roles throughout their work experience. Ron served as the President of the National Pork Producers Council starting in March 2013. Before that, they were a member of their Board of Directors since 2009. Ron was also the Chairman of the Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine starting in October 2012. Ron served on the Board of Trustees for North Carolina State University starting in July 2011. Additionally, Ron was a Board Member for the SC Chamber of Commerce from September 2010. Ron has also served on the Member Board of Trustees for Black River Electric Cooperative since April 2002. Ron held a couple of positions with the National Turkey Federation, including being a part of their Executive Committee in January 1999. Ron was also their Past Chairman from January 2002 to February 2003. Ron has been the Chief Pilot and Managing Member of Prestage Farms of SC since July 1994. Ron was the Past Chairman of the SC Poultry Federation from July 2001 to July 2014. Lastly, Ron was the Past Chairman of the US Poultry and Egg Association from January 2006 to January 2007.

Ron Prestage received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Animal Sciences from North Carolina State University in 1978. Ron then went on to obtain a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University in 1982.
