Abi Ponton

Abi Ponton is an experienced retail management professional currently serving as the Senior Retail Manager at the National Portrait Gallery since September 2020, where also holds the title of Retail Business Development & Ecommerce Manager. Prior to this role, Abi worked at Tate from June 2016 to September 2020, progressing from Ecommerce Executive to Group Ecommerce Executive. Earlier experience includes positions as Marketing Manager, Website Manager, and Web Content Editor at Home Leisure Direct from May 2013 to June 2016, and as Shop Manager at Sue Ryder from August 2012 to May 2013. Abi Ponton holds a Master’s degree in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from The Open University, a Bachelor’s degree in Illustration from the University of Gloucestershire, and has completed a JLPT N5 in Japanese Language from SOAS University of London, among other educational credentials.
