Tanya Bentley is a contemporary curator at the National Portrait Gallery since June 2014, currently overseeing exhibitions from the Lucian Freud Archive, set to open in June 2023, supported by The Getty Paper Project. Previously held roles include assistant curator, where contributions were made across the gallery's collections, and the exhibition curator for 'Icons and Identities,' an international touring exhibition. Tanya's experience spans various institutions, including the London Jewish Cultural Centre as assistant curator, project management at the University of Birmingham, and research positions at both Yad Vashem and the University of Birmingham. Tanya holds an MA in History of Design from the Royal College of Art and a BA in French Studies and History from the University of Birmingham.
