Poonam Sharma

Poonam Sharma is a board member at the National Press Club. Poonam has over 20 years of experience working in the social welfare sector. Poonam started their career as a joint director at the Central Social Welfare Board in 1992. Poonam has also served as the head of the media division and the official language division. Poonam has organized various events, such as the Kavi Sammelan, a poetry gathering at Dilli Haat, and the Dr. Durgabai Deshmukh Award Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Poonam has also inspected the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Rajbhasha at India Habitat Centre. In 2013, they served as the chairperson of the National Conference of State Board Chairpersons.

Poonam Sharma has a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from North-Eastern Hill University, a Master of Science in Zoology from Delhi University, and a Diploma in Journalism from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi. Poonam also has an Indian School Certificate in Science from Mount St. Mary's High School, Delhi Cantt.
