Jonathan Powell

Commonwealth Of Virginia EMS Research Scholar at National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians

Jonathan Powell is currently serving as the Commonwealth of Virginia EMS Research Scholar at the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians since July 2020. Prior to this role, Jonathan was the Program Director and lead instructor for Paramedic education at the University of South Alabama, College of Allied Health Professions from August 2014 to July 2020, and also contributed as a sports medicine paramedic for the USA D1 football team. Additional experience includes positions as Paramedic and QA Staff at Lifeguard Ambulance Service LLC from September 2015 to February 2017, and Fluid and Drug Coordinator/Paramedic at ASAP EMS from September 2011 to August 2015. Jonathan Powell is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology at The Ohio State University, having previously earned a Master of Public Administration in Health Administration and Policy from the University of South Alabama, along with a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Services from the same institution.
