Mary Donegan

Mary Donegan is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in urban studies and community research. Currently serving as an Associate Professor-in-Residence at the University of Connecticut, Mary also holds an Assistant Professor-in-Residence role in the Department of Urban Studies and contributes as a Faculty Affiliate for the Sustainable Global Cities Initiative. In addition, Mary is a Research Affiliate at the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research. Previous positions include Research Associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Center for Community Capital and Center for Urban and Regional Studies, as well as serving as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Mary holds a PhD in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has a background in Economics and Russian Area Studies from Wellesley College.
