Katie Richardson, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the field of physics and energy policy. Currently serving as Group Manager and Deputy Director for Government Relations at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory since May 2018, Katie is focused on accelerating an equitable clean energy transition for communities nationwide. Prior to this role, Katie was the State Science & Development Director and Field Representative for U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich from August 2012 to May 2018. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Caltech, a Master's degree in Physics from UC Irvine, and a Ph.D. in Physics from The University of New Mexico, where Katie also held the position of President of the Graduate and Professional Student Association.
