Dan Palmer

Dan Palmer is the Owner and Master Firearms Instructor at Up in Smoke Firearms Training (USFT), LLC, established in June 2018, where instruction encompasses various firearms disciplines and safety training for armed security guards. With credentials as an NRA Rifle Instructor, NRA Level III Pistol Coach, and GSM Master Rifle Instructor, Dan provides comprehensive training for shooters of all levels, from beginners to competitive athletes. Dan's extensive background includes serving as a retired Patrol Sergeant with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, where responsibilities included supervision and firearms instruction. Additionally, involvement with organizations like the American Legion has contributed to youth mentorship and community programs. Dan holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Kaplan University and has participated in leadership training at The American Legion National College.
