Tomasita Desoto

Tomasita "Tomi" DeSoto is a seasoned emergency services professional with extensive experience in fire and EMS education and leadership roles. Currently serving as Deputy Fire Marshal for Cibola County Fire and Emergency Services since March 2020, Tomasita also holds the position of President at the New Mexico EMT Association. With a commitment to training and safety, Tomasita has been an adjunct instructor for various organizations, including the New Mexico Firefighters Training Academy and the UNM EMS Academy, since 2001. Educational qualifications include an Associate of Science in Structural Fire Science, a Master of Arts in Organization, Information, and Learning Sciences, and a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Services - Education and Training. Tomasita has a strong history of service, also acting as a Paramedic/Firefighter II at the Cubero Volunteer Fire Department since 1998.
