Henry Ahn is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology funding and program management. Currently serving as Program Director for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs at the National Science Foundation since July 2016, Henry Ahn focuses on providing seed funding for technology-based startups and early-stage companies. Prior to this role, Henry Ahn was Program Manager at the Maryland Technology Development Corporation, where responsibilities included managing the Technology Commercialization Fund, supporting numerous technology-based companies across various sectors. Earlier career experiences include positions as Technology Licensing Associate at Upstate Biotechnology and Research Technician at Boston University Medical Center, along with a research role at Rice University. Henry Ahn holds an MBA from Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business, a Master of Science in Biotechnology from the University of Tennessee, and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University.
