Karen Mermel

Karen Mermel, PMP, has extensive experience in project management, web development, and strategic planning across various roles since 2008. Currently serving as Division Coordinator at the American Academy of Pediatrics, Karen specializes in producing websites and strategic planning for a large non-profit. In addition, Karen is the Director of Application Development at Farm Journal Media, overseeing the agweb website. As a consultant, Karen has held multiple managerial roles in IT, including Product Manager and QA Manager. Additional contributions include serving as Webmaster for Park-Wise Animal Hospital and The Buddy Foundation, alongside a long-standing membership and leadership role with the National Space Society. Karen holds an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and degrees in Computer Science from the College of Lake County, complemented by foundational education in Math/Science.
