Kirby Ikin is an accomplished aerospace industry executive with extensive experience in management and consulting. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Asia Pacific Aerospace Consultants since December 2002, Kirby focuses on a range of services including finance, insurance, risk management, and commercial satellite operations. As Chairman of the Board for the National Space Society since 1998 and a former Senior Vice President at Orbital Recovery Ltd, Kirby has played a significant role in the evolution of space-related ventures. In earlier positions, Kirby held the title of Managing Director at GIO Space, where the company grew from $2 million to $175 million in annual revenue, and was involved in the establishment of a satellite launch service at the Asia Pacific Space Centre. Kirby holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.

The National Space Society (NSS) is an independent, educational, grassroots, non-profit organization dedicated to the creation of a spacefaring civilization.
