Stephen Gladieux

Stephen Gladieux is currently a Bylaws Committee Member at the National Speleological Society. Stephen has also worked as a Senior Staff Engineer at Asama Coldwater Manufacturing and as a Product Development Manager at iwis Drive Systems.

Gladieux began their career as a Senior Staff Engineer at Asama Coldwater Manufacturing in April 2014. In this role, they were responsible for research and development activities across the company, including alloy development and heat treatment. Stephen was also responsible for start up specification and financial planning for a heat treatment facility. During their time at Asama Coldwater Manufacturing, Gladieux was successful in reducing scrap across a family of high alloyed parts for Porsche and Performance Friction.

In August 2012, Gladieux became the Product Development Manager at iwis Drive Systems. In this role, they were responsible for the start up of product development in North America, including the establishment and audit of Asian supply bases. Stephen also optimized startup plans for an $80 million green field project in Jiangsu, China which included substantial heat treatment capability. During their time at iwis Drive Systems, Gladieux improved the life of products while simultaneously reducing cost, weight, and lead time through intelligent redesign and material/process conversions.

Stephen Gladieux received their Bachelors in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan. Stephen also has a Bachelor's degree in French Language and Literature from the University of Michigan. Stephen also has a Certification from Remote Medical International in Remote Emergency Medical Technician.
