Brown McFadden has an extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Brown started their career as a Design Engineer III at Duke Power in 1976 and worked there until 1981. Brown McFadden earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clemson University, where they studied from 1972 to 1976. Brown later pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration at Winthrop University from 1986 to 1988. In 2011, they attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to achieve certification as a Certified Government CIO (CG-CIO). Additionally, they also pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Clemson University College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences, although the specific dates for this program were not provided.
