Sinbad Sweeney

Medical Device Certification at National Standards Authority of Ireland

Sinbad Sweeney has extensive experience in medical device certification and toxicology, currently serving at the National Standards Authority of Ireland since June 2019. Prior roles include positions as a Scientist at Aerogen and Senior Toxicologist at AstraZeneca. Sinbad's academic background includes a PhD in Engineered Material Toxicology from Imperial College London, where earlier experience involved postdoctoral research on pre-clinical material biocompatibility models. Sinbad also holds an MSc in Environmental Human Exposure Analysis from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a BSc (Hons) in Toxicology from the Technological University of the Shannon.
