Christian Laganzo

President SNAG at National Student Nurses' Association

Christian Laganzo's work experience begins in 2021 when they worked as a Summer Intern at Guam Regional Medical City. They shadowed registered nurses and reflected on their practice. In 2022, Christian became a G/M AHEC Scholar at Guam/Micronesia Area Health Education Center, participating in various events and community outreaches. They also worked as a Youth Member for the Committee to Re-Elect Governor Lou Leon Guerrero & Lt. Governor Josh Tenorio, where they advocated for the incumbent politicians and managed social media content. In 2023, Christian joined the National Student Nurses' Association as an Active Member and later became the President of the SNAG division. They also received opportunities at the University of Michigan Future Public Health Leaders Program as an Undergraduate Research Fellow and at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a CDC John R. Lewis Public Health Scholar. Additionally, they worked as a Summer Intern at Michigan Medicine, involved in Community Health Services.

Christian Laganzo completed their high school education at George Washington High School from 2015 to 2019, earning a High School Diploma. After that, they attended the University of Guam and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nursing. Their expected graduation year is 2024. In addition to their academic qualifications, Christian has obtained various certifications, including Dementia Capable Care courses, Effective Communication in Home Care and Hospice, Infection Control, Professionalism and Work Ethic as a Caregiver, Understanding Cultural Diversity, CARES Dementia Basics, and Basic Life Support (BLS). The dates of these certifications range from February 2022 to June 2022.
