Lawrence Kidd

Lawrence Kidd is a Telecommunications Specialist at the US Department of Commerce, NTIA, since May 2014, bringing extensive experience from various roles in the military and telecommunications sectors. Previously, Lawrence served as First Sergeant at the 53rd Signal Battalion, leading the training of approximately 50 Space Systems Control Professionals. Lawrence has held positions as Satellite Communications Subject Matter Expert/Project Manager, Operations and Security Officer, and Spectrum Manager within the 311th Signal Command, instrumental in enhancing satellite communications and network operations. With a foundational role in various companies, including the 67th Signal Battalion and Multi-National Force-Iraq, accomplishments include managing spectrum operations, training personnel, and overseeing complex communications systems. Lawrence holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Thomas Edison State University and has completed multiple military leadership and spectrum management courses.
