Carolyn Deforge is an accomplished aerospace engineer with over three decades of experience in the aviation industry. Currently serving as the Chief of the Aviation Engineering Division at the National Transportation Safety Board since January 2001, Carolyn Deforge previously worked as an Aerospace Engineer on the AV-8B Harrier Program at the Naval Aviation Depot Cherry Point, NC, from June 1985 to December 2000. Carolyn Deforge holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, where studies were completed from 1981 to 1985.
