Jennifer Rodi

Central Region Deputy Chief at National Transportation Safety Board

Jennifer Rodi has been with the National Transportation Safety Board since May of 2011, where they started as an Air Safety Intern. In this role, they assisted with on-scene accident investigations, follow up examinations, and processed paperwork for both incidents and accidents. Jennifer also worked closely with the FAA and aircraft manufacturers during investigations, and interviewed persons involved in accidents or incidents. In January of 2012, Jennifer transferred to the position of Safety & Security with Southwest Airlines. In this role, they wrote internal accident reports and assisted the NTSB with their investigations. Jennifer was also instrumental in managing annual OSHA summaries and surveys, and played a key role in switching the company to an electronic survey method for BLS. Additionally, Jennifer co-conducted Element Performance Inspections and repackaged Go-Team investigation kits. In January of 2011, Jennifer interned with Southwest Airlines in their Safety & Security department. Prior to their work in the aviation industry, Jennifer was a Building Supervisor at Southern Illinois University from May 2007 to December of 2011.

Jennifer Rodi has an Aviation degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale and is certified from the Federal Aviation Administration in Remote Pilot (Part 107) and Commercial Airplane Single & Multi-engine Land; Instrument Airplane.
